Max West was born and raised in Queens, New York, spending a lot of time reading and watching cartoons. A graduate of Baruch College in 2003 in creative writing, Max continued to work on his drawing skills after college and enrolled in continuing education classes at the School of Visual Arts in 2009, where he was trained by noted comics professionals like Matt Madden and Tom Hart.

Max's drawing style is reminiscent of classic newspaper comic strips, favoring simple yet clean and expressive lines.

Max still resides in Queens and is working on becoming a full-time comics professional. When not drawing his comics, Max draws landscapes, enjoys travel and does watermedia paintings.
